Snapshot Streetfotografie ist eine Kunstform. Sie entsteht im öffentlichen Raum, auf Straßen, Plätzen, bei Veranstaltungen oder in freier Natur. Ihr Merkmal ist der „Schnappschuss", d.h. das spontane Festhalten einer meist zufälligen Situation, an einem bestimmten Ort und im richtigen Augenblick. Traditionell steht dabei der Mensch im Fokus: In seinem Milieu, der Gruppe, als Einzelner, bei der Arbeit, in Freizeit, Kunst und Sport. Was zählt ist nicht das Individuum, sondern der Protagonist Mensch. Der Straßenfotograf versucht Alltagsszenen kunstvoll zu erfassen. Dabei ist er weder Voyeur noch Paparazzi. Snapshot Street Photography is an art form. It is created in public space, on streets, squares, at events or outdoors. Its feature is the "snapshot", ie the spontaneous capture of a mostly accidental situation, at a certain place and at the right moment.
